Princip was investigating what the region was to gain from working to increase energy efficiency in the form of decreased consumption. Based on practical measures, PRINCIP proposed visions, as well as climate and energy plans for regions and municipalities. The project examined specific barriers and suggested practical solutions to increase energy efficiency within selected sectors. During its term, the project compiled good experiences from municipalities and regions in the Kattegat/Skagerrak area. Based on this material, an inspiration and activity catalogue was prepared, which will act as a guide when municipalities are to make decisions regarding energy supply that will make sense from a climate perspective. The project includes Swedish, Norwegian and Danish partners. Aalborg Municipality is the lead partner of the project.
