In Site is a collaborative initiative taken by 10 cultural institutions and municipalities from Bornholm in Denmark to Moss in Norway. The objective is to increase citizens common knowledge about how the Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak-region is linked together and how cultural heritage in combination with art can be a resource for the future. The project aims to create the visible common story of Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak, and also provide opportunities for continued cooperation through networking and by creating methods for such cooperation. Fourteen interacting sites within the area representing an interesting tangible and intangible cultural heritage have been selected to build up a coherent story. This story will be told “in site” and illustrated through temporary art. Efforts and activities will be made to include inhabitants, organizations and other local bodies through joint events and through a website. Young people´s participation will be a strong focus.
