The Øresund Region has one of the greatest concentrations of ICT industries (Information and Communication Technology) in Europe with more than 100.000 employees, 8.000 students and 5.500 researchers. BrandIT Phase 1 and 2 worked to create international focus on the ICT industry in the Oresund Region.

A partnership not fit for fight 
BrandIt Phase 2 started in April 2010 and continued the work from BrandIt Phase 1. However, it soon became clear that the partnership in the second phase of the project did not agree on the objectives and activities planned in this phase. One of the original partners left the project and new partners entered.

The new partnership evaluated the activities and results of the projects so far. Based on these findings, the partnership agreed to close down this second phase of the project. The project closed on March 31 2011.

Part of the work is continued in the Cluster 55, a regional and international network, which supports companies and members of the cluster to brand and increase the sector in this part of Europe.
