How is new knowledge on climate mitigation and adaptation shared among municipalites in the Oresund Region. The answer is KlimaSundet; a free network between municipalities in Denmark and Sweden in the Öresund region. During the project, new knowledge, solutions, and experience was shared between municipalities in the region.

Network disseminates the best solutions 
Climate issues are often seen on the political agenda in the municipalities of the Oresund Region as storms and rain cause problems and put a financial burden on the municipalities. Many have experienced with smart and cost-effective solutions within climate and energy, but these solutions are not shared, neither on a national basis nor in a Danish-Swedish context. The project KlimaSundet worked to create a permanent network between the municipalities and thereby sharing important experiences. The network was thus an inspiration and a motivating factor for working with climate and energy issues in the municipalities.

Workshops increase knowledge
KlimaSundet strenghened the overall knowledge on climate and energy issues in the Oresund Region through 5 workshops. 80 municipalities were invited and around 40 participated actively in the project.
