The Øresund Region is internationally leading within materials science. The coming research infrastructure of ESS and MAX IV will boost opportunity and create momentum for the region within the field of innovation and materials science. It is, however, important to underline that the Øresund Region already has great knowledge, marked potential and excellent results with regard to business development and innovation within materials science.
The projects partners intend to develop the Øresund innovation system within materials science, to create the fundament to make the region a world leading materials science centre. To reach this goal, the project will work with linking the regional strengths, making use of the innovation capacity within materials science, and integrating the innovation system across Øresund.
The results of the project will enhance the attraction of the region as a centre for developing innovations within the field of materials science. Moreover, the project will lead to more efficient use of present as well as future innovation capacity.
