Climate Smart solutions for new partnerships
Green growth and innovation is on top of the agenda in the Nordic countries and the cleantech sector on both sides of the Öresund is already of considerable size. The Öresund region is among the world elite in areas such as wind, water, district heating, biogas and biomass, so there are good
prerequisites to pave the way for green growth through increased cooperation across the Öresund.

Increased public demand
The project aims to create a solid knowledge base for the Øresund Region with focus on the potential for development of innovative smart city solutions. The project identifies the key environmental challenges and indicate thereby the demand for new and more green solutions. At the same time, the project has initiated three knowledge groups with focus on the establishment of new innovation partnerships across Öresund. In the long term the objective is to develop a political vision with associated strategies for border regional cooperation on Smart Cities.
